• Account Information: Email address, name, password (encrypted)
• Profile Information: English level, target job, career level, country, years of experience
• Practice Data: Interview questions, your answers, feedback scores, session history
• Voice Recordings: Audio recordings when using voice analysis features (processed and deleted after analysis)
• Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe - we never see or store your card details
• Usage Data: Features used, session duration, progress metrics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our interview practice services
• Personalize your experience based on your English level and career goals
• Generate AI-powered feedback on your interview answers
• Track your progress and provide analytics
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send important service updates and support messages
• Protect against fraud and abuse

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform:

• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication (EU servers available)
• Anthropic (Claude): AI-powered interview feedback, coaching, and language analysis
• Stripe: Secure payment processing
• Vercel: Website hosting, edge functions, and content delivery
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (receipts, password resets, notifications)
• ElevenLabs: Voice synthesis for video interview simulations
• Adzuna: Job matching and search
• Google Gemini: AI-powered interview feedback and language analysis
• Sentry: Error tracking and performance monitoring to maintain application reliability. May collect session replay data for debugging purposes.

4. AI-Powered Features & Data Processing

Our platform uses artificial intelligence to provide interview feedback, grammar corrections, and language coaching. Here is how your data is handled by our AI providers:

• What data is sent: Your interview answers (text) are sent to our AI providers (OpenAI and Google Gemini) for analysis. We do not send your name, email, or other personally identifiable information with these requests.
• AI training: Data sent via our API is not used to train AI models. Both OpenAI and Google's API terms of service confirm that API data is not used for model training.
• Voice recordings: Audio recordings are processed in real-time for transcription and pronunciation analysis. They are not permanently stored by our AI providers and are deleted immediately after processing is complete.
• Data retention by AI providers: OpenAI retains API data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deletes it. Google processes data in real-time with no long-term retention.
• Your right to opt out: If you prefer not to have your data processed by AI, you can use our offline analysis features (ESL pattern detection, filler word analysis) which run entirely on your device. Contact englishjobready@hotmail.com for any AI data concerns.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All data transmitted via HTTPS encryption
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
• Database access protected by Row Level Security
• API keys stored securely in environment variables
• Regular security audits and updates

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Practice session data — your written answers, the transcript of what you said, and your scores — is stored so we can provide progress tracking, historical feedback and coaching continuity. We do not store your voice recordings. Audio is transcribed and then discarded; only the transcript and the length of your answer are kept. You can request deletion of your account data at any time, and account deletion removes associated personal data from our systems within 90 days (subject to legal obligations).

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your personal data

8. Automated Decision-Making

Our platform uses AI to generate interview questions and provide feedback on your practice answers. This AI-generated feedback is for educational purposes only and does not produce legal effects or similarly significant decisions concerning you. We do not use fully automated decision-making or profiling to make decisions that affect your access to services or produce legal effects. All subscription and account decisions involve human oversight.

9. Cookies

We use essential storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. With your consent, optional analytics uses Supabase and, when configured, PostHog and Google Analytics to help us improve the service. We do not use advertising cookies. 10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
