What is EnglishJobReady?
In short
EnglishJobReady is a free-to-start web app that helps people who speak English as a second language prepare for job interviews in English. You answer real interview questions out loud or in writing, and it gives feedback on clarity, structure, evidence and English, and explains what an interviewer in your target country and role may notice.
What it does
- Practice: You answer real interview questions for your role, out loud or in writing. You can type instead of speaking at any time.
- Feedback: Each answer gets feedback on clarity, structure (situation, action, result), evidence and English. It names one strength, one thing to fix, and a clearer version of your answer that keeps only your own facts.
- Context: Feedback uses the context you choose: your role, target country, interview stage, English level and first language. It explains what an interviewer may notice, in careful language, because it cannot know what a real interviewer will think.
- A plan: After a full practice interview you get a readiness score with its reasoning, the first gap to fix, and the next practice task.
Who it is for
People whose first language is not English and who have, or want, a job interview in English. That includes people with basic English (A1–A2): simple English is welcome, there is an easier mode, and you can write your answer before you say it.
It covers common jobs such as care work, nursing, warehouse, hospitality, retail, customer service, teaching and office roles, and interviews in countries such as the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and Ireland. It also covers internal promotion interviews and English for the first weeks in a new job.
What is free
The English Interview Readiness Score is free to start. Answer one question for a first look, or 3 to 5 questions (about 12 to 20 minutes) for a readiness score. No card or account is needed for the first check.
Free guides need no sign-up: how to answer common questions, STAR method examples, interview English phrases, interview questions by role and country, and printable answer templates. Paid plans add unlimited practice; the prices are on the pricing page.

What it is not
- It is not a recruiter or a job board. It does not apply for jobs for you.
- It is not an English test certificate. The readiness score is an estimate, not a CEFR level, and should not be shown to an employer as one.
- It does not give legal advice.
- It cannot guarantee a job, an interview or an offer. It helps you prepare a clearer, better-evidenced answer for the interview you have.
Questions people ask
Is EnglishJobReady free?
It is free to start. The first readiness check needs no card or account, and the guides are free to read. Paid plans add unlimited practice.
Can I use it if my English is basic?
Yes. Simple English is welcome. You can use an easier mode, read questions in your own language, ask for a question in easier English, and type your answer before you say it.
Does it judge my accent?
No. Answers are scored as text, and the scorer is told never to judge accent. Clear meaning matters more than perfect grammar.
Will it get me a job?
No tool can promise that. EnglishJobReady helps you practise, see what to fix next, and prepare a clearer answer. The employer makes the decision.
